Why I went dark

I haven’t done these kinds of blogs before, but I want to share with you all why I went dark for more than a month. Maybe I’ll call this “To us”. I’ll figure out a better blog title later. Let’s get into it.

As you guys may or may not know, my workplace has closed down. This has got to be the biggest pill to swallow. I’ve been working here for more than 4 years and this place has been my second home. I worked, cooked, cried and slept here making friends along the way, and when friends became so close, they became a second family to me. Some became my mentors and some come and go (for the better). I guess Tony Stark was right. “Part of the journey is the end”. But I’m not giving up yet.

Moving to a different workplace and leaving all your co-workers behind. You don’t want to do it, but you know that it’s the thing that must be done. It’s like letting your kids go to college. It was a bold and risky move, but I did it, and man I did not regret it. Everything I did at my old place, the new place is a step up. Better equipment, more traffic, higher pace and most importantly, a team that I’m excited to be in. I can definitely see myself working here long term. There’s so much stuff to improve on and learn. I can go into detail about this, but I want to save that for another blog.

Right now, I’m happy where I am. Sure, there are some few things that could be better, but beggars can’t be choosers, and besides, some stuff I’m talking about must  need hard work to achieve. For now, I’ll keep my head down and continue on working on what I love. Like Captain Price from Call of Duty Modern Warfare,

“Bravo 6, going dark”
