I fell in love with this drink about last year when my friend and I were travelling to Montreal. We’re at the top of St. Joseph Cathedral watching the sunset and the sun was trading spots with the moon. The stars starts appearing; glistening in the dark sky. We then went to a nearby bar for some drinks, we had some beer, shots and the sangria. The sangria was the best I had in my life. Such sweet and floral taste just left my mind slipped away. I think I had a good 3 glasses of that sangria. Ever since, I always wanted to replicate that drink and this is the closest I could get. I also tried with 3 different kinds of wine: White, rose and red. Rose is my personal favorite because it complements well with the lychee. If you don’t have rose wine, white is a good alternative, but stay away from red wine because the taste overpowers the lychee. I also added a special ingredient called elderflower liqueur. It has a bold, sweet flavor that pairs perfectly with the wine and lychee. This is my go-to party drink that everyone will love. As I always say “Cheers to good health!”
