You can also freeze a batch or two of cooked patties for your convenience. They can be easily be microwaved out of your freezer just in case if you’re ever in a rush. Pair this with some eggs, toast and some fruit and you got a well balanced and fast meal. And they say a healthy breakfast takes a long time to make!
Ingredients:
1 pound (450g) of ground beef
1 pound (450g) of ground pork
3 tablespoons of maple syrup
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180° C) Turn your convection oven fan on if you have one. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients well until it’s fully incorporated. Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions. Shape them into patties and place them on the prepared baking sheets. You can freeze them at this time in a reusable plastic bag or carry on cooking.
- Bake the sausage patties until they’re lightly browned, 20 minutes or so, rotating the baking sheets. Frozen patties will take about 30 minutes.
