Back to basics (Cutting)

As an experienced cook and home cook, I can’t stress enough that the size of the ingredient is extremely important while cooking. It can greatly reduce the cooking time and makes your dish more appetizing. For example: Cooking a finely sliced onion for a french onion soup is much quicker than cooking a coarsely chopped onion. Plus, it looks more appetizing (Do you really think people would eat a poorly chopped onion that is a size of a golfball?). The video below shows a basic demonstration of proper food cutting techniques by Tasty.
