Cucumber and Buttermilk Ranch Salad

Cucumber is one of my all-time favourite vegetables. Its light, fresh taste is something I can have as a side of itself, or a primary ingredient for this salad. For me I don’t like ranch dressing straight from the dressing bottle. It contains so many processed ingredients. So why not make yourself your own ranch dressing with buttermilk? Yes. Buttermilk. You’ll be very surprised by how well this tastes. Pair that with some bacon and cheese, and you can have most meat-eaters say that this salad tastes amazing.

Ingredients:

2 cups cucumbers, sliced

½ cup nacho cheese

½ cup cooked bacon, chopped

2 tablespoons green onion, chopped

½  cup mayo

¼  cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried dill

1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, add in cucumber, cheese, bacon, and green onion

In another mixing bowl, whisk in mayo, buttermilk, garlic, onion powder, dill, and black pepper

Combine all ingredients together and serve it cold.
